About this document

This policy is part of the Odyssey Standards website terms and may be incorporated into accepted services where applicable. Read it together with any Accepted Scope or signed agreement.

1. Our goal

Odyssey Standards aims to provide a website and digital service that people with disabilities can use effectively. Accessibility is treated as an ongoing operational responsibility rather than a one-time certification.

2. Design approach

  • Semantic headings, landmarks, labels, and link text intended to support assistive technology.
  • Keyboard-accessible navigation and form controls.
  • Visible focus treatment and non-color cues for important states.
  • Responsive layouts and scalable text.
  • Color contrast and reduced-motion support considered during design.
  • Plain-language descriptions for forms, policies, and result-verification states.

3. Standard and conformance

Odyssey Standards’s design target is generally informed by the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. Stating a target does not represent that every page, third-party component, document, or future update fully conforms at all times. Odyssey Standards works to identify and address barriers as they are found.

4. Third-party and document limitations

Some embedded services, hosted platform features, laboratory reports, PDFs, or third-party links may be controlled by others or present accessibility limitations. Odyssey Standards will seek a reasonable accessible alternative for Odyssey Standards-controlled information when requested and reasonably available.

5. Request help or report a barrier

Use the Contact page and select “Accessibility feedback.” Describe the page or document, the barrier, the assistive technology and browser if relevant, and the preferred way to receive a response. Do not include patient information, passwords, or other unnecessary sensitive data.

6. Alternative access

If a website feature or document is not accessible to you, Odyssey Standards will make reasonable efforts to provide the information or complete the interaction through an appropriate alternative method, subject to identity, confidentiality, safety, and legal requirements.

7. Ongoing review

Odyssey Standards may revise this Statement as technology, content, services, standards, and legal requirements evolve. Accessibility feedback is used to prioritize practical improvements.
